Paderewski Symphony Orchestra ma zaszczyt zaprosić na uroczysty koncert dla uczczenia 200 Rocznicy Urodzin Fryderyka Chopina. Koncert odbędzie się w Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center w Chicago , 220 S Michigan Ave, Chicago w Piatek 26 Marca, 2010 o godznie 8pm

Uroczystości w Chicago będą największymi w USA – zostały objęte patronatem Biura Obchodów CHOPIN 2010 – międzynarodowego komitetu z siedzibą w Warszawie, koordynującego obchody Roku Chopinowskiego na całym świecie.

PIOTR BANASIK (POLAND)

Piotr Banasik is one of the most talented pianists of the young generation. He has won numerous

awards and honors in competitions and festivals in Poland and abroad. Among others he won the

Grand Prize in the PARNASSOS International Piano Competition in Monterrey, the Grand

Prize at the Liszt International Piano Competition, a Medal at the International Maria Canals

Competition in Barcelona, and a number of special prizes at the 15th International Chopin Piano

Competition in Warsaw.

He has performed countless recitals and played as a soloist in symphonic concerts in Poland,

Czech Republic, Ukraine, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Mexico, South Africa,

China and the United Arab Emirates.

The Paderewski Symphony Orchestra is A Not-for-Profit 501(c)(3) Cultural and Educational Organization.

Its mission is to provide Chicago’s Polish-Americans with a cultural experience that can become part

of their daily life - one they can actively participate in and be proud of.

We strive to enrich Chicago’s cultural life with the sounds and tones of one of Europe's oldest

and most distinctive cultures.

It is our firm belief that music, aside from being the only language common to all mankind,

is a great remedy against prejudice and discrimination.
